My Top 5 Places in Atlanta to Eat
What can I say about Atlanta’s top places to eat? Well, for me, they are not the most expensive places or the most know place but they are definitely good places to eat. From breakfast and brunch to lunch and dinner. These places are on my top 5 list of places I eat when I want to treat myself or my family want to have a night out or I just want to hang with friends. These places take my top list based on food, service, and atmosphere. This list is in no particular order.
The first place is a breakfast and brunch spot that has two locations. One in Atlanta and the other in Fayetteville, GA. It’s a place called Gocha’s Breakfast Bar. It’s Black-owned business that stays busy and packed. The first time I came to eat at this place was at the Fayetteville location with my mother, sister, and young niece for brunch. We were all shocked at how everything looked so good on the menu, and we were having trouble picking what we wanted to eat. The menu items ranged from pancakes and eggs to vegetarian salads. It even featured seafood and beef items that I couldn’t pass up. I was even able to get a choice of mimosas or wine that they served at the bar. The music was bumping and the tables were full. To top it off, our waitress was so sweet and even let me have a free mimosa for the long wait. This is definitely the breakfast spot to try. Make sure you go early because table fill up fast.

When I’m looking for a quick snack, I usually head to King Kong Milktea & Smoothie. They have the best boba tea and fruit smoothies I’ve ever had. Not only are they few locations around Atlanta and the metro area’s, which makes them easy to find, they also sell food and ice cream that are absolutely delicious. You must try the fruit teas with the popper boba at the bottom and their seasoned fries. This is literally my go to place for lunch or a light snack. The employees that work there are always nice and the atmosphere is definitely a place you could sit and talk with friends or just do some schoolwork. I love how they even have games to play and lounge chairs to sit on when you are hanging with friend are having coffee with a potential sweetheart. I would definitely suggest this place for lunch.

Now, for dinner, I have a few places that I love. The most expensive place is The Sugar Factory. My friend and I went there the night before the day of our concert, and it did not disappoint. First, the place was packed, and we were lucky to get in because you usually have to have reservations. Luckily, we were able to just walk in a get a table after about a 30 minute wait. When we got the menus, the prices were a bit high, but we decided to go with it because it was still within our budget for those two days. We got our food, which was delicious, and we also got some drinks that bubbled from dry ice that was in them. The drinks tasted great, but we could not finish them. For dessert, we both had milkshakes that had a cheesecake or a cupcake placed on top with a straw down them middle. The whole meal cost us $100 which included tip. However, that same meal was our dinner after we came back from the concert the next day.

My next favorite restaurant is definitely a restaurant you would take family or a date to on night. Its called Kang Nam Japanese Restaurant. It would probably be my second favorite restaurant in Atlanta. It is located in Doraville, GA just three minutes from I285 freeway on Buford Hwy. I used to come to this restaurant when I was craving some good sushi or Japanese food. This restaurant can also get pretty pricy; however, it depends on what you order. The staff was always nice and the food is absolutely delicious. I love the privacy area’s they have and with just a push of a button, the waitress will arrive in no time ready to serve you. This is truly a first date type of place.

The last, but certainly not least, restaurant on my top 5 list is Iron Age Korean BBQ. If you are looking for a great Korean BBQ restaurant that you and your friends could hang out and have some drinks, this would definitely be the place to go. This place is always great with its all you can eat food menu and the KPop/KHiphop that make the place feel a little like a club. The servers are always nice and the food taste delicious. I have taken my family and friends to this restaurant on multiple occasions and each time we have always left full and satisfied. The cost is pretty cheap compared to other Korean BBQ restaurants and the experience of being able to cook your own food in front of you oddly eases your mind of who is cooking your food. The atmosphere is great and it a great place to have dinner after work or during a girls/guys night out. Make sure you visit this place before you leave.
